Forest Hills Spanish Immersion is a magnet program where students are involved in experiences that prepare them for life in a global community. Beginning in Kindergarten, students are immersed the Spanish language. Students learn the same curriculum as other students in the district, only they are taught in Spanish. Most children who attend this program attain developmentally appropriate bilingualism. The program began in 1999 with one section of Kindergarten and has grown to over 800 students in elementary, middle school and high school immersion classes in 2010.
